Sultan Muhammad Al Fateh

Di didik melaui 3 perkara :-

a) Yang pertama melalui adab
b) Yang kedua melalui proses hafazan Al Quran dan penghayatan Al Quran sepenuhnya
c) Yang ketida melalui sains ketenteraan

Secara ringkasnya, Al Fateh telah menyertai pasukan berperang ketika kecil. Hasil didikan ayahnya Sultan Murad yg telah memberi sebatang rotan kepada ulamak yg di tugaskan untuk mendidk Al Fateh telah menjadikan Al fateh berjaya menawan Kota Konstantinopel pada umur 21 tahun. Sebelum peristiwa itu, Al Fateh telah menjadi Sultan sebanyak 2 kali iaitu ketika berusia 12 tahun dan 15 tahun. Bagi merobohkan dinding Kota Konstantinopel, Al Fateh sendiri mereka meriam bagi merobohkan dinding kota itu setebal 10 meter. Sudah 12 kali Kota Konstantinopel gagal ditawan oleh org Arab, tetapi Al Fateh merupakan keturunan Turki. Betul kata nabi

 "Konstantinopel akan jatuh ke tangan Islam, Rajanya adalah sebaik baik raja manakala tenteranya adalah sebaik baik tentera"



Hijrahlah Bersama Hati Bukan Niqab Cuma...

Sedih hati ini tatkala melihat seorang gadis berniqab meng-upload sekeping foto dengan aksi yang kurang 'cantik' untuk tatapan mata lelaki bukan mahram di Facebook, satu laman sosial yang cukup terkenal. Pedih kembali apabila mengingatkan diri ini yang hanya bisa menatap matanya yang galak dan bundar kerana wajahnya ditutupi itu juga tidak mempunyai jalinan 'friend' dengannya, apatah lagi yang lain. Terutamanya kaum Adam yang mungkin tidak semua menguatkan hati agar menundukkan pandangan daripada terus menatap mata cantik itu.
Namun diri ini tetap tidak bisa menghitung niatnya. Mungkin dia masih muda. Harus ditunjuk mana jalan yang mesti diambil. Harusnya kita yang melihat mesti menegur. Bukan silap dia terus begitu. Silap kita yang tidak berpesan. Hanya mudah dengan terus 'berbunyi' di belakang. Tolong, yang melihat jangan begitu cepat menghukum. Fahami mereka. Selami hati mereka. Dan tunjuki apa yang benar. Dengan penuh kasih terhadap saudara seakidah. Maka dengan itu, bingkisan ini kucoretkan khusus buatmu. Muslimahku sayang, dengarkan...
Tatkala mengambil kata putus untuk berniqab maka "Jangan Main-Main"
Sebetulnya, bukan untuk mereka yang berniqab sahaja. Bertudung labuh juga begitu. Berniqablah, ramai yang mahu menyokong dari belakang. Namun ingat, apabila kita memilih untuk memakai sebegini, orang-orang di sekeliling mempunyai high expectation terhadap kita. Apa yang betul dilakukan kelihatan biasa. Namun apabila sedikit yang silap, itu yang lebih besar terlihat. Kerana memang namanya manusia, ada yang hanya memandang sekelumit kesilapan dan keaiban berbanding memperbesar kelebihan dan kebaikan.
Bukanlah bermakna kita harus mengaut segala pandangan manusia agar segalanya dilihat tinggi pada kita. Bukan, sayang. Maksudku di sini, kita mesti berjaga-jaga terhadap diri sendiri. Kerana apabila memakai niqab dan tudung labuh begini, kita membawa bersama maruah Islam. Ya, maruah Islam. Take it seriously, my love. Memetik kata-kata Phua Chu Kang, "Don't play play." Jangan main-main.
Ini bukan soal mahu terlihat hanya diri kita yang baik bersama penampilan, tetapi juga mahu dunia melihat Islam yang tinggi dan indah nilainya! Jadilah muslimah yang meninggikan Islam. Bukan makin menjatuhkan.
Akhlak mesti dijaga. Kerana itu buah amal dan iman. Juga mengelak fitnah. Apabila hanya segelintir yang tidak begitu menjaga akhlak sejajar dengan cara pemakaiannya, ada manusia yang kurang memahami mula berbunyi...
"Saya tak bertudung. Bertudung labuh mana pun orang tu bukan baik sangat. Trust me. Saya dah pernah jumpa. Yang penting hati..."
"Apa la pompuan ni. Berniqab tapi gambar dekat Facebook dia, Astarghfirullah ...Wei, tak payah pakai niqab lah wei..."
"Ala, yang berniqab semua tu bukan cantik sangat pun, perasan banyak. Melebih je semua tu, dah macam ninja dah aku tengok. Ceitt. Blah la"
Bukan semua orang mahu faham kita yang begini tidak semestinya terlihat sempurna tetapi kitalah sendiri harus menjaga sedaya mungkin! Tidak boleh tidak. Mesti.
Ustaz Pahrol Mohd Juoi mengatakan bahawa tudung wanita itu terbahagi kepada empat. Tudung pada wajah yang tidak mengundang fitnah dan kecantikannya hanya khusus buat suami bukan buat lelaki ajnabi atau bukan mahram. Tudung pada mata yang tidak memandang lelaki lain selain mahramnya kerana solehah yang hakiki itu tidak dipandang dan tidak memandang. Tudung pada suara yang tidak dilunakkan dengan tujuan memikat dan mempersona. Tudung pada hati yang tulus mengingati Allah dengan sentiasa berzikir.
Muslimahku sayang, apabila ini yang dijaga maka yang lain pasti turut terjaga. Pergaulan antara lelaki dan perempuan yang terjaga dengan tidak melampaui batasan syariat. Anggota yang terjaga kerana peringatan sepi daripada tudung itu sendiri supaya menghindari maksiat. Hati yang terjaga daripada dicemari rasa riak dan takbur.
Sememangnya perempuan berniqab dan bertudung labuh ini baik. Baik dengan erti kata sebenarnya. Akhlak mengikut apa yang diajar Islam. Usah jadikan diri kita pemangsa kepada mereka yang begitu menjaga turut terkena tempias menjadi mangsa. Fitnah terjadi. Fitnah terhadap mereka yang berniqab dan bertudung labuh. Kasihan.
Namun, tidaklah pula bermakna harus menukar meter tudung menjadi semakin pendek kerana bimbang diri hanya membawa fitnah. Malah seharusnya hati semakin nekad memperbaiki dan menjaga akhlak dan bunga iman. Begitu, sayang. Apabila punya keazaman sebegitu maka diri telah pun membuka langkah menuju kebaikan.
Sayangku, jangan memilih memakai begini kerana lelaki.
Bertudunglah seperti yang diri mahu. Asal sahaja tudung itu tetap dilabuhkan menutupi dada. Tetap bertudung mengikut syariat bersama niqabmu. Namun awas pada hati sendiri, sayang. Jagalah ia selalu. Perhatikanlah ia sentiasa. Kerana dalam kegigihan kita melakukan kebaikan, syaitan itu juga tetap gigih berusaha membisik halus tanpa diri sedari.
Tiap kali melangkah keluar dari rumah, luruskan niat bahawa aku memakai begini hanya kerana Allah. Bukan untuk mendamba pujian dan hati lelaki. Bukan mahu menunjuk aku sekarang telah berubah menjadi lebih baik berbanding dahulu. Bukan mahu mengatakan, "Wahai Adam, lihatlah. Akulah wanita yang paling solehah. Moga sahaja kau jatuh cinta padaku".
Apabila itu yang terlintas, fikirlah apakah itu juga yang dipandang Allah? Tidak, sayang! Dia hanya ingin melihat ketulusan dan keikhlasan niat hatimu untuk berhijrah keranaNya. Apabila hatimu terdetik berhijrah kerana yang lain, hitunglah apakah amalan ini juga terhitung di sisiNya. Apabila diri memilih untuk memakai begini, jagalah niat itu sentiasa. Usah biarkan amalan kebaikan hangus rentung menjadi abu hanya kerana niat yang terpesong. Istighfarlah sentiasa. Kerana sememangnya kita manusia yang pelupa dan berdosa.
Utamakan yang lebih penting daripada yang penting.
Sayangku, pakailah niqab andai diri mahu. Perkara baik tiada siapa menghalang. Namun ingat, sayang, lihatlah yang lebih penting daripada keinginanmu untuk menutup muka bersama secebis kain indah itu. Mahu menjadi baik tidak semestinya dengan berniqab namun berniqablah andai itu benar menjadi motivasi buat diri untuk menjalani perubahan ke arah yang lebih baik. Walau begitu, tetap diri ini suka untuk mengingatkan kita bersama agar melihat perkara yang lebih utama berbanding perkara yang menjadi isu khilaf. Lihatlah yang lebih penting.
Lihatlah solat lima waktu kita. Apakah berusaha didirikan awal waktu seperti mana usaha keinginan untuk berniqab? Apakah terhafal sudah rukun-rukun serta syarat-syarat sah solat? Apakah solat itu cuba diri hayati supaya lebih khusyuk? Apakah bacaan solat itu diri fahami maknanya? Apakah solat itu bisa membuatkan diri merasa terlalu dekat dengan Allah?
Lihatlah hubungan yang terjalin antara manusia. Apakah ada api permusuhan yang belum terpadam? Apakah hati sering berprasangka buruk terhadap orang lain? Apakah hati dibisik iri dan dengki akan kejayaan dan kebahagiaan orang lain? Apakah diri ringan membantu tatkala sahabat memerlukan pertolongan? Apakah hati itu sentiasa diingatkan agar sering bersangka baik dengan manusia tiap ketika?
Lihatlah akhlak dalam diri. Nilailah dan hisablah diri sehari-hari. Apakah hati sentiasa diingatkan agar sentiasa ikhlas dalam melakukan amalan? Apakah hati itu dididik untuk menyemai rasa rindu terhadap Rasulullah dengan sunnah Baginda? Apakah diri diajar untuk tekad dalam menimba ilmu daripada melayan cinta manusia? Apakah hati sentiasa ditiup bayu semangat tabah dan gigih dalam menjalani ujian daripada Allah?
Sayang, lihatlah yang ini terlebih dahulu berbanding niqab. Kerana kewajipan ini lebih dituntut. Jadilah muslimah yang bijak menentukan perkara yang paling penting dalam kehidupan. Jadilah muslimah yang bijak dengan melakukan perkara yang dirasakan penting tetapi tetap mengutamakan perkara yang lebih penting. Maka sayangku, ini lebih baik.
Mengapa mesti pandai mengutamakan hal yang lebih penting daripada yang penting? Andai kita sebenarnya mengetahui mentaati ibu bapa itu lebih dituntut daripada pemakaian niqab, maka tiada yang keliru dalam permasalahan "mak ayah saya tak bagi saya berniqab". Pilih ibu bapa berbanding niqab. Kerana taat ibu bapa itu wajib dan berniqab itu hanya sebahagian isu khilaf. Jelas, sayang?
Andai kita muslimah yang berniqab maka usah dipandang rendah kepada mereka yang memakai pashmina. Andai kita memakai tudung labuh maka jangan merasa lebih baik berbanding mereka yang memakai tudung melilit. Masih sehingga kini diri tiada mengetahui bagaimana pandanganNya. Kerana Dia lebih arif akan hati dan niat kita lebih daripada meter tudung itu. Takutlah pada hati sendiri yang suka menilai manusia dalam diam. Sehingga wujud rasa ujub terhadap diri sendiri.
Apabila benar niat kerana Allah dan tahu mengapa diri memilih memakai begini, percayalah itu yang akan memberi kekuatan berterusan. Walaupun ramai yang memandang serong. Walaupun ramai cuba menyalah anggap. Walaupun ramai melihat diri sebagai 'kamu-orang-pelik-ewww'. Kerana pemakaian hanya diniatkan kerana Allah. Sedikit pun kata-kata manusia tidak akan memberi kesan kepada hati seandainya benar ikhlas. Right? So, just go with what you're doing now, my love!
Andai terasa lemah, renung kembali niat dalam hati. Apakah benar di jalannya. Jangan pernah putus harapan dalam memperbaiki diri dan mengejar kebaikan. Kerana itu semua tidak akan datang tanpa keinginan yang kuat dan hati yang gigih menghadapi ujian! Contohilah Ummul Mukminin. Contohi peribadi mereka dan jadikan ia semangat buat diri untuk terus melangkah dalam mendidik hati menjadi muslimah sejati. Terus kuat, sayang!
Sayangku, pakailah dan hiasi bersamanya dengan ilmu dan akhlak.
Pakailah niqab itu. Pakailah tudung labuh itu. Pakailah pakaian yang menutup aurat mengikut garisan Islam. Andai pandai menyentuh isu kahwin tidak perlu menjadi begitu sempurna tetapi usaha itu mesti ada, begitu juga soal ini. Tidak perlu menunggu diri menjadi sempurna pada tiap sudut inci seperti meter kainnya, tetapi tekadkanlah jua dalam hati keazaman dan keinginan menjadi lebih baik. Bersama ilmu dan akhlak.
Yang kurang benar kelihatannya apabila dipakai tanpa ilmu dan keazaman pembaikan akhlak. Itu yang akhirnya mula terjadi fitnah kepada pemakai niqab dan tudung labuh. Kerana itu niat amat dititikberatkan. Apabila niat benar, tindakan yang diambil juga benar. Apabila niat ingin memakai niqab sebagai dorongan menjadi lebih baik, maka diri akan berusaha walau bagaimana cara sekalipun untuk menjadi muslimah yang terbaik! Apabila niat asal terpesong maka itu yang dibimbangi apabila hati mula menurut nafsu. Jadikan niqab sebagai dorongan untuk menjadikan diri lebih baik. That's the best. Namun, andai diri bukan daripada kalanganniqabisit's alright dear. Kita semua sama sahaja. Kerana tetap sahaja taqwa itu menjadi pembeza. Dan tetap sahaja yang istimewa itu buat muslimah yang menjaga auratnya.
Jaga akhlak. Jaga akhlak. Dan jaga akhlak. Kerana manusia tidak akan bertanya, "Tinggi manakah ilmu yang ukhti miliki?" tetapi manusia akan mula menilai melalui peribadi. Akhlak. Yes, exactly my loveAkhlak hasil daripada ilmu yang dimiliki. Tuntutlah ilmu yang benar dan secara sendiri ia akan dimanifestasikan dalam akhlak yang juga benar. Kerana ilmu itu berperanan mewujudkan perasaan khauf atau takut kepada Allah sehingga melahirkan akhlak yang baik. Biarlah qudwah itu bersama akhlak dan tudung.
Tidak semestinya berniqab lebih baik daripada yang memakai pashmina. Tidak semestinya yang bertudung labuh lebih baik daripada tudung melilit. Tidak semestinya yang memakai tudung melilit lebih baik daripada yang berniqab. Tidak semestinya mereka yang memakai pashmina lebih baik daripada yang bertudung labuh. Kerana? Kerana tinggalkanlah itu semua kepada rahsia penilaian Allah.
Dan kerana setiap daripada kita punya peluang berubah ke arah kebaikan selagi nafas masih terhela. Jangan persiakannya. Maka sayangku, genggamlah jemari sahabatmu yang lain dan bantu. Sebarkan kecintaan terhadap sesama muslimah. Padamkan segala prasangka andai ada ternyala.
Jadi baik itu bukan diukur pada tudung. Jadi baik itu adalah pada hati yang ikhlas. Namun tudung mengikut syariat itu tetap wajib. Jalankan walaupun ada yang terasa payah! Kerana percayalah tudung itu akan mula menjernihkan hati yang kotor. Mendorong hati dan keyakinan ke arah jalan cahaya. Believe me!
Mari kita sama-sama. Tolong ajari diri yang menulis ini. Kerana sungguh, diri ini juga pemakai tudung labuh yang hanya bijak berkata-kata namun masih banyak kekurangan yang mesti diperbaiki. Terlalu.

Manisnya Pernikahan Kerana Iman


Perasaan itu ada di hati.
Dulu ia terpendam, kerana sibuk studi.
Atau, "Malaslah nak fikir... belum ready..."
"Belum sampai masanya lagi..."
"Macam mana nak mulakan, tak reti..."
"Saya memang sedang mencari lah ni..."
Perlahan-lahan, perasaan itu meresap ke hati.
"SubhanAllah, perasaan apakah ini..?"
Itulah perasaan yang suci, ingin saling menyayangi. Ingin saling melengkapi. Ingin dicintai. Ingin dirindui. Perasaan untuk bertemu pasangan. Di atas landasan pernikahan. Tatkala ia hadir dalam perasaan dan fikiran, layanilah ia dengan iman.
"Ya Allah Ya Rahman... Bimbinglah diriku menjadi jodoh yang baik... Temukan diriku dengan dia yang beriman... Permudahkanlah jalanku menuju pernikahan..."
Memilih melalui taaruf yang telus. Membincangkannya dengan ibu bapa, teman-teman yang berilmu lagi amanah. Hati lapang mendengar pandangan, terbuka menerima pesanan dari yang berpengalaman dan akhirnya keputusan itu, kepada Allah diserahkan.
"Ya Allah, aku memohon petunjuk daripadaMu dengan ilmuMu dan aku memohon ketentuan daripadaMu dengan kekuasaanMu dan aku memohon daripadaMu akan limpah kurniaanMu yang besar..."
Inilah antara untaian doa istikharah yang diajar Rasul SAW saat kita telah memilih dan mengenali latarbelakang calon jua bermusyawarah dengan insan-insan berilmu dan amanah. Kita membuat keputusan memilih si dia, dan kita kemudiannya bukan meminta pada Allah agar dia menjadi jodoh kita, tapi kita meminta keputusan Allah atas usaha-usaha kita, dan pastinya atas ilmu dan kebijaksanaan Allah. Malah, itulah misteri yang sejak dulu Allah telah tetapkan.
Akhirnya kita bernikah. Alhamdulillah.. SubhanAllah.. Allahu Akbar..
Nikmat bernikah sebenarnya terlalu indah dari yang kalian bayangkan. Nikmat itu bukan hanya pada hubungan jasmani, bukan hanya kerana bersatunya emosi suami isteri tapi lebih besar dari itu. Nikmat bernikah itu ada pada hati-hati yang berusaha dihidupkan dengan iman.
Sangat indah saat hati mampu merasai kurnia Allah yang Maha Penyayang. Dia yang menitiskan sakinah, ketenangan dan kenyamanan berada dalam kasih sayang berpasangan. Cinta yang mengalir sebening air yang menyejukkan hati-hati yang beriman.
"Sesungguhnya orang-orang yang beriman dan beramal saleh, kelak Allah yang Maha Pemurah akan menanamkan dalam (hati) mereka rasa kasih sayang" 
(Surah Maryam ayat 96)
Indahnya menikah saat hati mampu merasa syukur atas limpahan rahmat Allah yang melingkari segenap kehidupan. Allah berkehendak menitipkan cinta dan rindu sesama suami dan isteri, hingga kalian menikmati kebahagiaan.
"Ya Allah... Kasih sayangMu terlalu hebat.. terlalu agung.. Allah Yang Maha Mulia, Maha Pemurah, segala puji bagiMu Ya Allah.. yang membenihkan kecintaan dan kerinduan di hati-hati kami suami isteri."
Dia – pasangan kita - insan yang berbeza. Datang dari keluarga dan latarbelakang berbeza. Namun dengan iman, kalian melayani pasangan dengan baik, penuh kasih sayang dan kelembutan. Kalian meminta-minta pada Allahur Rahman.
"Ya Allah Yang Maha Memberi Petunjuk... Tunjukilah kami dengan akhlak yang baik, jauhkan lah kami dari akhlak yang buruk."
Karakter pasangan yang menguji perasaan, dihadapi dengan iman. Kalian bermujahadah untuk menolak kesalahan pasangan dengan cara yang lebih baik. Hingga kasih sayang semakin merimbun di dalam rumahtangga itu.
"Tolaklah (kejahatan itu) dengan cara yang lebih baik, maka tiba-tiba orang yang antaramu dan antara dia ada permusuhan seolah-olah telah menjadi teman yang sangat setia" 
(Surah Fussilat ayat 34)
Dengan iman, kalian saling berkhidmat pada pasangan hanya kerana mengharap keredhaan Tuhan. Hati-hati berusaha diikhlaskan. 
Seorang isteri... senyuman, perkataan, perbuatan, teguran, masakan, kebersihan, kelembutan, belaian, penjagaan zuriat dan rumahtangga seluruhnya mengharap pertolongan Allah Yang Maha Membantu. 
Seorang suami... harta benda, kediaman, kenderaan, kewangan, perhatian, kasih sayang, nafkah zahir batin pasangan, kebahagiaan rumahtangga yang dipimpin dan diusahakan.. SemuaNYa kerana keyakinan dan ketaqwaan kepada Tuhan.
Apabila suami dan isteri berusaha membugarkan iman dan apabila pernikahan digerakkan di landasan iman.. itulah syurga dunia yang diidamkan.
Namun di sana, ada suami dan isteri yang benar –benar teruji dengan keburukan pasangan. Tatkala dirinya berusaha memberi yang terbaik, pasangan sebaliknya memandang remeh amanah pernikahan.

Tingkah pasangan yang menyesakkan perasaan, bulan dan tahun berganti tiada perubahan, jauh dari keharmonian yang diimpikan. Wahai tuhan, apakah Engkau sedang memberi hukuman?
Maha Suci Allah dari menzalimi hamba-hambaNYA. Namun, Allah dengan kasih sayang yang agung mengizinkan ujian getir menimpa rumahtangga kalian, kerana Dia begitu mencintaimu.
Dalam lafaz-lafaz doa kita yang dulu, bukankah kita memohon pernikahan untuk menambah iman?
Nah, Allah memberi ujian kesenangan dan kesulitan dalam pernikahan, agar pernikahan benar-benar menjadi wasilah untuk kita makin dekat, semakin dekat ke pangkuanNya. Makin mendalamkan iman dan cinta kita kepadaNya.
Tika kesabaran teruji dengan kerenah pasangan, berimankah kita dengan janji Allah akan ada kesenangan selepas kesusahan?
Tika kekusutan rumahtangga membelenggu jiwa, berimankah kita dengan ayatNya bahawa jalan keluar senantiasa ada buat hambaNya yang bertaqwa?
Tika kita memaafkan dan bersabar dengan segala keburukan pasangan, berimankah kita bahawa kemanisan iman itu terhasil bila kita tulus mencintai kerana Allah?
Ya, perkahwinan bukan mudah, terlalu banyak ranjau ujian, namun dengan iman pastinya tidak akan mudah hilang pedoman. Dengan iman, merasa Dia memberi bimbingan dan pertolongan. Melaluinya dengan kesabaran, kesyukuran... akhlak Rasulullah berusaha diterjemahkan, tuntutan Al-Quran berusaha direalitikan dalam kehidupan (rumahtangga).
Rasulullaah SAW bersabda yang bermaksud:-
"Alangkah menakjubkan keadaan seorang Mu'min. Setiap persoalan yang dihadapinya selalu menjadi kebaikan. Dan sikap itu tidak bisa dimiliki oleh siapa pun kecuali orang Mu'min. Apabila kegembiraan menghampirinya, dia bersyukur, dan itu menjadi kebaikan baginya. Dan apabila kesusahan menimpanya, dia bersabar, dan itu menjadi kebaikannya baginya." 
(Hadis Riwayat Muslim)
Bahagialah kalian yang memilih iman sebelum, semasa dan sehingga pernikahan itu berlangsung di dunia, moga nikmatnya berterusan hingga ke syurga. InsyaAllah...
Teruskan bermujahadah, untuk merasa nikmat pernikahan yang amat manis lagi indah, jua menikmati musim-musim ujian cabaran agar pernikahan terus menjadi wasilah taqarrub ilAllah (dekat kepada Allah).

Islamic Poem on Death

Eyes stare brightly whist staring into the ceiling
Veins cringe and take their last breathe of oxygen
Call it intoxication of air when you are being refused it
As gasping becomes heavy.

Heart rate lowered dramatically,
I have no more heart

Brain becomes frozen,
I have no control over it..for it is not mine
Chills go up and down my spine
How perfect our body’s function, how divine

Ignorant of this day that I must face
When the consequences of my actions no one can wipe away

I suffer the feeling of guilt in my heart

not only that of people but that of my Lord

I shall stand in shame in front of him

Heart rate lowered dramatically,
I have no more heart

Is it He Who giveth life and who taketh it and to Him shall ye all be brought back. (56)(Surah Yunus in the Quran)

Dialog Malaikat Jibril dengan Nabi Muhammad di tangga Mimbar



عن كَعْب بن عُجْرَة رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: احْضُرُوا المنبَر، فَحضرْنَا، قلمَّا ارْتقَى درجَةً قَال: آمين، فلما ارتقى الدرجَة الثانية: قال آمين، فلما ارتقى الدّرجَة الثالثة قال: آمين، فلما نزل، قلن: يا رسولَ الله لقَدْ سمعنَا مِنْكَ الْيَوْمَ شَيْئاً ما كُنَّا نَسْمَعُه! قال: إن جِبْريلَ عليه السلام عَرضَ لِي فقال: بَعُدَ منْ أدرَكَ رمَضَانَ فَلِمْ يُغْفَرْلَهُ قلت: آمين، فلما رقيت الثانية قال: بَعُدَ منْ ذكرت عنده فلم يصلّ عَلَيْكَ فقلت آمين، فلما رقيت الثالثة قال: بَعُدَ مَنْ أَدرَكَ أبويهِ الكبر عنده أو أَحَدَهُمَا فلم يُدْخِلاَهُ الْجنَّةَ قلْتُ: آمين.
 
Terjemahan:
 
Dari Ka’ab Bin ‘Ujrah (ra) katanya: Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasalam) bersabda: Berhimpunlah kamu sekalian dekat dengan mimbar. Maka kamipun berhimpun. Lalu beliau menaiki anak tangga mimbar, beliau berkata: Amin. Ketika naik ke anak tangga kedua, beliau berkata lagi: Amin. Dan ketika menaiki anak tangga ketiga, beliau berkata lagi: Amin. Dan ketika beliau turun (dari mimbar) kamipun bertanya: Ya Rasulullah, kami telah mendengar sesuatu dari tuan pada hari ini yang kami belum pernah mendengarnya sebelum ini. Lalu baginda menjawab:
 
“Sesungguhnya Jibrail (as) telah membisikkan (doa) kepadaku, katanya: Celakalah orang yang mendapati bulan Ramadhan tetapi dosanya tidak juga diampuni. Lalu aku pun mengaminkan doa tersebut. Ketika aku naik ke anak tangga kedua, dia berkata lagi: Celakalah orang yang (apabila) disebut namamu di sisinya tetapi dia tidak menyambutnya dengan salawat ke atasmu. Lalu aku pun mengaminkannya. Dan ketika aku naik ke anak tangga yang ketiga, dia berkata lagi: Celakalah orang yang mendapati ibubapanya yang sudah tua atau salah seorang daripadanya, namun mereka tidak memasukkan dia ke dalam surga. Lalu aku pun mengaminkannya.

Assalamualaikum..saya terpanggil untuk berkongsi dengan muslimin dan muslimat tentang perkara dalam video diatas. Sedikit sebanyak menyentuh jiwa yg halus ini. Sepotong kata dari ulamak ulamak terulung mengatakan bahawa anak adalah penyambung sesuatu keturunan. Tanpa zuriat keturunan itu akan berhenti di situ sahaja. Sedarlah bahawa segala manusia di atas bumi Allah ini ditakdirkan menjadi khalifah yg dapat memakmurkan dan memelihara bumi Allah ini. Khalifah yg dimaksudkan khalifah yg mempunyai cukup bekal ilmu agama dan segala ilmu dunia dan akhirat. Antaranya ilmu tersebut ialah pengurusan jenazah dari pada mula sehingga ke akhirnya. Asal disebut jenazah,semua mungkin mempunyai sifat takot, risau dan sedih. Bagi berkongsi sedikit ilmu,saya pernah menghadiri dan menyertai proses memandikan jenazah. Adakah memandikan jenazah ini boleh mendatang kesan atau nama lain "badi" yang berkekalan? Memandikan jenazah itu sendiri mempunyai banyak keistimewaan dan kesedaraan tersendiri. Bagi saya kesan memandikan jenazah itu sendiri amat mendalam dalam hati saya yang mengingatkan saya tentang apa itu erti memandikan jenazah. Melihat mayat yg kaku, tidak bergerak lgsg, tidak bernyawa di mana saya dan yg lain lain perlu memandikan jenazah tersebut. Subhanallah, Allah mengurniakan satu perasaam yg tidak dapat di bayangkan bagi insan yg masih hidup di atas muka dunia ini. Saya menyeru untuk diri saya dan yg lain lain samada muslimin atau muslimat, persiapkan dirimu dengan ilmu Allah demi kebaikan umat Islam sejagat terutamanya dalam soal memandikan jenazah. Video di atas saya kongsikan atas kesedaran saya sendiri yg masih mempunyai raja dan permaisuri di dalam keluarga saya, bila tiba satu hari nnti,saya berdoa pada Allah Yang Maha Esa semoga saya dapat menjadi anak yg berjaya memelihara kedua ibu bapa sebelum menemuai Allah. Hayati dengan hati yg ikhlas dan sedarlah apa itu tanggung jawab kita sebagai seorg anak. Jazakallah.

A collection of various forms of dhikr and tasbih from the Sunnah.

سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ وَ بِحَمْدِهِ - SubhanAllahi wa biHamdihi (Glory be to Allah and Praise Him).

Whoever says (the above) at morning and evening time, one hundred times, none shall come on the Day of Resurrection with anything better except someone who has

said the same or more.[1]

سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ وَ بِحَمْدِهِ - SubhanAllah wa biHamdihi (Glory be to Allah and Praise Him).

Whoever says (the above) a hundred times during the day, his sins are wiped away, even if they are like the foam of the sea.[2]

سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ وَ بِحَمْدِهِ - SubhanAllahi wa biHamdihi (Glory be to Allah and Praise Him)

Abu Dharr reported that the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) said, "Shall I tell you the words that Allah loves the most?" I said: "Yes, tell me, O Messenger of Allah."

He said: "The words dearest to Allah are: subhanAllah wa bihamdihi.[3]

سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ الْعَظِيمِ وَ بِحَمْدِهِ - SubhanAllahi 'l-`adheem wa biHamdihi (Glory be to Allah, The Supreme, and Praise Him)

A palm tree is planted for the reciter [of the above] in Paradise.[4]

سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ وَ بِحَمْدِهِ ، سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ الْعَظِيمِ - SubhanAllahi wa biHamdihi, Subhan-Allahi 'l-`adheem (Glory be to Allah, and Praise, Glory be to Allah, the

Supreme)

Prophet Muhammad said: "Two words are light on the tongue, weigh heavily in the balance, they are loved by the Most Merciful One."[5]

سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ - SubhanAllah (Glory be to Allah)

Whoever recites [the above] one Hundred times, a thousand good deeds are recorded for him or a thousand bad deeds are wiped away.[6]

لا حَوْلَ وَ لا قُوَّةَ اِلَّا بِاللّهِ - La Hawla wa la Quwatta illa Billah (There is no Might or Power except with Allah)

[the above is] a treasure from the treasures of Paradise.[7]

سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ ، والْحَمْدُللّهِ ، وَ لا اِلهَ اِلَّا اللّهُ ، وَ اللّهُ اَكْبَرُ - SubhanAllah, walHamdulilah, wa La illaha ilAllahu, waAllahu Akbar (Glory be to Allah, All Praise is

for Allah, There is No God but Allah, Allah is the Greatest)

The above are mentioned as the four most beloved words to Allah. It does not matter with which one of them is begun.[8]

Abu Sa`id reported that the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) said, "Perform the enduring goods deeds (al-baaqiyaat al-SaliHaat) more frequently." They asked, "What

are these enduring good deeds?" The Prophet replied: Takbir [Allahu Akbar], Tahlil [la ilaha illallah], Tasbih [Subhan'Allah], alhamdulillah, and la hawla wa la quwwata

illa billah.[9]

سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ ، والْحَمْدُللّهِ ، وَ لا اِلهَ اِلَّا اللّهُ ، وَ اللّهُ اَكْبَرُ - SubhanAllah, walHamdulilah, wa La illaha ilAllahu, waAllahu Akbar (Glory be to Allah, All Praise is

for Allah, There is No God but Allah, Allah is the Greatest)

Prophet Muhammad said: “For me to say (the above) is dearer to me and all that the sun rises upon (ie the whole world).”[10]

سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ ، والْحَمْدُللّهِ ، وَ لا اِلهَ اِلَّا اللّهُ ، وَ اللّهُ اَكْبَرُ ، وَ لا حَوْلَ وَ لا قُوَّةَ اِلَّا بِاللّهِ - SubhanAllah, walHamdulilah, wa La illaha ilAllahu, waAllahu

Akbar, wa la Hawla wa la quwwata illa billah (Glory be to Allah, All Praise is for Allah, There is No God but Allah, Allah is the Greatest, There is no might or any power

Except with Allah)

(The above) are the good deeds which endure [al-baqiyaatuS-SaliHaat]

Akbar, wa la Hawla wa la quwwata illa billah (Glory be to Allah, All Praise is for Allah, There is No God but Allah, Allah is the Greatest, There is no might or any power

Except with Allah)

Abd Allah ibn Mas'ud reported that the Prophet said: "During the Night Journey I met Ibrahim (alayhis salam) who said to me: ‘O Muhammad, convey my greetings to

your Community, and tell them that the Paradise is of pure land, its water is sweet, and its expanse is vast, spacious and even. And its seedlings are SubhanAllah,

walhamdulilah, wa la ilaha ilAllah, waAllahu Akbar (the above).’”[11]

الْحَمْدُللّهِ - Alhamdulilah (All Praise is for Allah) - Verily the best supplication is (above).[12]

لا اِلهَ اِلَّا اللّهُ - La illaha ilAllah(u) (There is No God But Allah)

The best form of remembrance is (above).[13]

لا اِلهَ اِلَّا اللّهُ - La illaha ilAllah(u) (There is No God But Allah)

Abu Huraira reported that the Prophet said: "When a servant of Allah utters the words la ilaha illallah (there is no God except Allah) sincerely, the doors of heaven open

up for these words until they reach the Throne of Allah, so long as its utterer keeps away from the major sins.”[14]

لا اِلهَ اِلَّا اللّهُ - La illaha ilAllah(u) (There is No God But Allah)

Abu Huraira reported that the Prophet said, "Renew your faith." "How can we renew our faith?" they asked. The Prophet replied: "Say always: la ilaha illallah."[15]

لا اِلهَ اِلَّا اللّهُ وَحْدَهُ لا شَرِيكَ لَهُ ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَ لَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَ هُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ - La illaha ilAllahu, waHdahu la shareeka lahu, lahul Mulku, wa lahul

Hamd, wa Huwa ala kulli shaiy'in Qadeer (There is No God But Allah Alone, who has no partner. His is the dominion and His is the raise, and He is Able to do all things)

Whoever says the above ten times, will have the reward for freeing four slaves from the Children of Isma'il .[16]

لا اِلهَ اِلَّا اللّهُ وَحْدَهُ لا شَرِيكَ لَهُ ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَ لَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَ هُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ - La illaha ilAllahu, waHdahu la shareeka lahu, lahul Mulku, wa lahul

Hamd, wa Huwa ala kulli shaiy'in Qadeer (There is No God But Allah Alone, who has no partner. His is the dominion and His is the raise, and He is Able to do all things)

Whoever says the above one Hundred times, has the reward of freeing ten slaves, a hundred good deeds are recorded for him and a hundred bad deeds are wiped away

and he has gained refuge from the devil that day until evening and none shall come with anything better except someone who has done more.[17]

لَآ اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللّهُ وَاحِدًا اَحَدًا صَمَدًا لَّمْ يَتَّخِذْ صَاحِبَةً وَّ لاَ وَلَدًا وَّ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَّوْ كُفُوًا اَحَدٌ - La illaha ilAllahu, Wahidda(n), Ahada(n), Samada(n), lam

yatakhidh sahiba(n). Wa la walada, wa la yak(n)ul-lahu kufuwan Ahad (There is no God except Allah, the One and Only, the Eternal, Who has not taken a partner nor a

son. And there is none like unto Him)

Whoever says the words above ten times, then 40,000 (forty thousand) good deeds will be recorded for him.[18]

أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ الْعَظِيمَ الَّذِي لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْْقَيُّومُ وَ أَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ - Astaghfirullah al-'Adheemal-ladhi la ilaha illa Huwal-Hayyul-Qayyum wa atubu

ilaih (I seek the forgiveness of Allah the Mighty, Whom there is none worthy except Him, the Living, The Eternal, and I repent unto Him)

Whoever says the above words, Allah will forgive him even if he deserted the army's ranks.[19]

اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّى لاَ إِلهَ إِلاَ أَنْتَ ، خَلَقْتَنِى وَ أنَا عَبْدُكَ وَ أنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ ما اسْتَطَعْتُ ، أعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِ مَا صَنَعْت ، أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَىَّ وَ

أبُوءُ بِذَنْبى فَاغْفِرْ لِى فإِنَّهُ لاَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ - Allahumma anta Rabbi la ilaha illa anta, Anta Khalaqtani wa ana abduka, wa ana 'ala ahdika wa

wa'dika mastata'tu, A'udhu bika min Sharri ma sana'tu, abu'u Laka bini'matika 'alaiya, wa Abu Laka bidhanbi faghfirli innahu la yaghfiru adhdhunuba illa anta (O Allah!

You are my Lord! None has the right to be worshipped but You. You created me and I am Your slave, and I am faithful to my covenant and my promise as much as I

can. I seek refuge with You from all the evil I have done. I acknowledge before You all the blessings You have bestowed upon me, and I confess to You all my sins. So I

entreat You to forgive my sins, for nobody can forgive sins except You.)

The above du'a is known as the Sayyid al-Istighfar and is the most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allah. Whoever says it during the day with firm faith in it,

and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise; and if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning,

he will be from the people of Paradise.[20]

If someone implements ten verses of the Qur'an, He/She will not be considerate amongst the negligent on the Day of Judgment.[21]

If someone implements one hundred verses of the Qur'an, He/She will be considered among the obedient on the Day of Judgment.[22]

If someone implements one thousand verses of the Qur'an, He/She will be amongst the extremely rich on the Day of Judgement.[23]

The Excellence of the Remembrance of Allah

Allah, the Exalted, says:

"And the remembering (praising) of (you by) Allah (in front of the angels) is greater indeed [than your remembering (praising) of Allah in prayers]'' (29:45)

"Therefore remember Me (by praying, glorifying). I will remember you.'' (2:152)

"And remember your Rubb by your tongue and within yourself, humbly and with fear and without loudness in words, in the mornings and in the afternoons, and be not of

those who are neglectful.'' (7:205)

"And remember Allah much, that you may be successful.'' (62:10)

"Verily, the Muslims (those who submit to Allah in Islam) men and women... (up to)... And the men and the women who remember Allah much with their hearts and

tongues. Allah has prepared for them forgiveness and a great reward (i.e., Jannah).'' (33:35)

"O you who believe! Remember Allah with much remembrance. And glorify His Praises morning and afternoon [the early morning (Fajr) and `Asr prayers].'' (33:41,42)



1408. Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "There are two statements that are light for the tongue to

remember, heavy in the Scales and are dear to the Merciful: `Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi, Subhan-Allahil-Azim [Glory be to Allah and His is the praise, (and) Allah, the

Greatest is free from imperfection)'.''
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Commentary: This Hadith affirms that man's actions carry weight. On the Day of Judgement, his actions will be cast into the Balance. At that time Allah will endow

these actions with weight, or according to some scholars, those records which register man's actions will be weighed. This is quite possible for the reason that Almighty

Allah is Capable of weighing things without even their physical form. This discussion apart, when actions will be cast into the Balance, the formula mentioned in the

Hadith, the utterance of which is very easy, will prove weighty. Every Muslim should make it a practice to repeat them frequently.



1409. Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "The uttering of the words: "Subhan-Allah (Allah is free from

imperfection), Al-hamdu lillah (all praise is due to Allah), La ilaha illallah (there is no true god except Allah) and Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest)' is dearer to me than

anything over which the sun rises.''
[Muslim].

Commentary: This Hadith hightlights the fact that the formulas which mention the Praise and Glory of Allah, His Majesty and Oneness are liked by the Prophet (PBUH)

more than anything in the world, because this is one of the virtues which will survive and will be rewarded, while the world and all that it has will perish.



1410. Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "He who utters a hundred times in a day these words: `La ilaha

illallahu, wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, wa Huwa `ala kulli sha'in Qadir (there is no true god except Allah. He is One and He has no partner with

Him; His is the sovereignty and His is the praise, and He is Omnipotent),' he will have a reward equivalent to that for emancipating ten slaves, a hundred good deeds will

be recorded to his credit, hundred of his sins will be blotted out from his scroll, and he will be safeguarded against the devil on that day till the evening; and no one will

exceed him in doing more excellent good deeds except someone who has recited these words more often than him. And he who utters: `Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi

(Allah is free from imperfection and His is the praise)' one hundred times a day, his sins will be obliterated even if they are equal to the extent of the foam of the ocean.''
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Commentary: Here sins mean minor sins and those which do not relate to the rights of people. This point has already been elaborated in the preceding Ahadith.



1411. Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (PBUH) said: "He who utters ten times: `La ilaha illallahu, wahdahu la sharika lahu,

lahulmulku wa lahulhamdu, wa Huwa `ala kulli sha'in Qadir (there is no true god except Allah. He is One and He has no partner with Him. His is the sovereignty and His

is the praise, and He is Omnipotent),' he will have a reward equal to that for freeing four slaves from the progeny of Prophet Isma`il.''
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Commentary: "Slaves from the progeny of Isma`il'' is a simile for very precious slaves. That is, it has the same reward to which the emancipation of four very precious

slaves is eligible.



1412. Abu Dharr (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said to me, "Shall I tell you the expression that is most loved by Allah?'' It

is `Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi' (Allah is free from imperfection and His is the praise)'.''
[Muslim].



1413. Abu Malik Al-Ash`ari (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Wudu' is half of Salat, and the expression: `Subhan-Allah

(Allah is free from imperfection)' fills the Balance, and the expression: `Al-hamdu lillah (praise be to Allah)' fills the space between the heavens and the earth.''
[Muslim].

Commentary: "Tuhur'' is purification or Wudu', while "Tahur'' is water or something which is used for purification. According to some scholars, `Faith'' means Salat.

This is also the sense in which it has been used in the Qur'an: "And Allah would never make your Faith to be lost (i.e., your prayers).'' [2:143]. Thus when Salat is the

Faith, the purification is a prerequisite for Salat. Salat is not valid without purification. Some scholars are of the opinion that Faith here means Faith in general, as the

Shari`ah defines it: To sincerely accept and believe in all that the Prophet (PBUH) came with, i.e., sincere acceptance of Allah and His Prophet (PBUH).

"Purification is half of the Faith'' means the acceptance that purification is the most important article of Faith. It is like the saying of the Prophet (PBUH) that "Hajj is

`Arafah'', which means that `Arafat (the place where the pilgrims stay on the 9th day of Dhul-Hijjah) is the most important element of the Hajj. Thus, this Hadith stresses

the importance and merits of purification and offers an inducement for it. It also mentions the eminence of the invocations mentioned in the Hadith by saying that if they

are given a form, they will fill the space between the heavens and the earth. In other words, it is a description of the infinite vastness of the Mercy and Grace of Allah.



1414. Sa`d bin Abu Waqqas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: A bedouin came to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and said to him, "Teach me a few words to

recite frequently.'' He (PBUH) said, "Say: "La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lahu; Allahu Akbar kabiran, wal-hamdu lillahi kathiran, wa subhan-Allahi Rabbil-`alamin;

wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billahil-`Azizil-Hakim (there is no true god except Allah the One and He has no partner with Him; Allah is the Greatest and greatness is

for Him. All praise is due to Him. Allah, the Rubb of the worlds is free from imperfection; there is no might and power but that of Allah, the All-Powerful and the

All-Wise.)''' The bedouin said: "All of these for my Rubb. But what is for me?'' Thereupon he (Messenger of Allah (PBUH)) said, "You should say: `Allahummaghfir li,

warhamni, wahdini, warzuqni (O Allah! Grant me pardon, have mercy upon me, direct me to righteousness and provide me subsistence)'.''
[Muslim].



1415. Thauban (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Whenever the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) concluded his prayer, he would beg forgiveness from Allah thrice

and then would recite: "Allahumma Antas-Salamu, wa minkas-salamu, tabarakta ya Dhal-Jalali wal-Ikram (O Allah, You are the Grantor of security, and security comes

from You. You are Blessing, O You Who have majesty and nobility)!'' (Imam) Al-Awza`i, one of the narrators of this Hadith, was asked: "How forgiveness is to be

sought?'' He answered: "The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to say: `Astaghfirullah! Astaghfirullah! (I beseech Allah for forgiveness, I beseech Allah for

forgiveness)'.''
[Muslim].



1416. Al-Mughirah bin Shu`bah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to say at the conclusion of prayer: "La ilaha illallahu

wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulku, wa lahul-hamdu, wa Huwa `ala kulli shai'in Qadir. Allahumma la mani`a lima a'tayta, wa la mu`tiya lima mana`ta, wa la yanfa`u

dhal-jaddi, minkal-jaddu (there is no true god except Allah. He is One and He has no partner with Him, His is the sovereignty and His is the praise, and He is Omnipotent.

O Allah! None can deny that which You bestow and none can bestow that which You hold back; and the greatness of the great will be of no avail to them against You).''
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Commentary: "Al-Jaddu'' means good luck and richness. That is, good fortune and prosperity will not be of any avail before Allah. What will really benefit a person

before Him are Faith and virtuous deeds. The prayer quoted in this Hadith makes a special mention of His Oneness.



1417. It has been reported that `Abdullah bin Zubair (May Allah be pleased with them) used to recite after Taslim at the conclusion of every Salat (prayer): "La ilaha

illallahu wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulku, wa lahul-hamdu, wa Huwa `ala kulli shai'in Qadir. La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah. La ilaha illallahu, wa la na`budu illa

iyyahu, Lahun-ni`matu, wa lahul-fadlu, wa lahuth-thana'ul-hasan. La ilaha ilallahu, mukhlisina, lahud-dina, wa lau karihal-kafirun (there is no true god except Allah; He is

One. To Him belongs the dominion and to Him is all praise, and He is Powerful over all things. There is no power and might except with (the help of) Allah. There is no

God but Allah and we worship none except Him, to Him belongs the bounty and to Him belongs the grace, and to Him belongs all excellent praise; there is no deity but

Allah. We reserve our devotion exclusively for Him though the disbelievers may detest it).'' Ibn Az-Zubair said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to celebrate

Allah's Greatness in those terms after every Salat (prayer).
[Muslim].

Commentary: The invocation mentioned in this Hadith is ordained by the Prophet (PBUH) and was his practice. To recite Shahadah repeatedly after Salat and to offer

benediction and salutations to the Prophet (PBUH) collectively is a self-invented formula and is not consonant with the practice of the Prophet (PBUH). It is, therefore, a

heresy and will have no merit. Every Muslim has to follow only the preachings and practice of the Prophet (PBUH).



1418. Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The poor Emigrants came to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and said: "The wealthy have gone with the

highest ranks and lasting bliss.'' He asked: "How is that?'' They replied: "They offer Salat (prayer) as we offer it; they observe fast as we do; (and as they are wealthy)

they perform Hajj and `Umrah, and go for Jihad, and they spend in charity but we cannot, and they free the slaves but we are unable to do so.'' The Messenger of Allah

(PBUH) said, "Shall I not teach you something with which you may overtake those who surpassed you and with which you will surpass those who will come after you?

None will excel you unless he who does which you do.'' They said: "Yes, please do, O Messenger of Allah'' He (PBUH) said, "You should recite: Tasbih (Allah is free

from imperfection), Takbir (Allah is Greatest), Tahmid (Praise be to Allah) thirty-three times after each Salat.''
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Abu Salih, the subnarrator of the Hadith said, when Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) was asked about the manner of reciting Tasbih, Tahmid and Takbir,

he said, "Recite: "Subhan-Allah, wal-hamdulillah, wallahu Akbar', till all are recited thirty-three times.

Commentary: This Hadith has already been mentioned, but with a slightly different wording with reference to Sahih Muslim. The elaboration made by Abu Salih

apparently seems to indicate that all the three words should be recited in combination while other religious scholars have shown preference for reciting them separately.

The purpose is, however, attained in either way. There does arise one question here: Should one recite each of these words thirty-three times or in all for thirty-three

times? The wording of the Hadith does not make this clear. Other Ahadith, (which will follow soon) make it clear that each of these words is to be recited for thirty-three

times. This is how their aggregate will come to ninety-nine. The Hadith that follows makes this point lear.



1419. Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "He who recites after every prayer: Subhan-Allah (Allah is free

from imperfection) thirty-three times; Al-hamdu lillah (praise be to Allah) thirty-three times; Allahu Akbar (Allah is Greatest) thirty-three times; and completes the

hundred with: La ilaha illallahu, wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, wa Huwa `ala kulli shai'in Qadir (there is no true god except Allah. He is One and

He has no partner with Him. His is the sovereignty and His is the praise, and He is Omnipotent), will have all his sins pardoned even if they may be as large as the foam

on the surface of the sea.''
[Muslim].



1420. Ka`b bin `Ujrah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "There are some words, the reciters of which will never be

disappointed. These are: Tasbih [saying `Subhan-Allah' (Allah is free from imperfection)], thirty-three times, Tahmid [saying `Al-hamdu lillah' (praise be to Allah)]

thirty-three times and Takbir [saying `Allahu Akbar' (Allah is Greatest)] thirty-four times; and these should be recited after the conclusion of every prescribed prayer.''
[Muslim]

Commentary: "Muaqqibat'' means the words of Praise and Glorification of Allah which are recited after Salat. This Hadith says that the words "Allahu Akbar'' should be

recited thirty-four times.



1421. Sa`d bin Abu Waqqas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to seek (Allah's) protection after prayers in these words:

"Alla-humma inni a`udhu bika minal-jubni wal-bukhl, wa a`udhu bika min an uradda ila ardhalil-`umur, wa a`udhu bika min fitnatid-dunya, wa a`udhu bika min fitnatil-qabr

(O Allah, I seek refuge with You from cowardice, miserliness and from being sent back to a feeble age; and, seek refuge with You from the trials of this life and those of

the grave).''
[Al-Bukhari].

Commentary: Some religious scholars are of the opinion that it is better to observe reciting this Du`a after concluding prayers, and that it is better to combine both. Some

scholars say that the Prophet (PBUH) used to recite this Du`a just before Taslim, while he used to recite the Du`a mentioned earlier after Taslim.



1422. Mu`adh (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) took hold of my hand and said, "O Mu`adh! By Allah I love you, so I advise

you to never forget to recite after every prayer: "Allahumma a`inni ala dhikrika, wa shukrika, wa husni `ibadatika (O Allah, help me remember You, to be grateful to You,

and to worship You in an excellent manner).''
[Abu Dawud].

Commentary: This Hadith stresses the fact that one should seek the Help of Allah for His remembrance, thanksgiving and worship, because one cannot do anything

without His Help and Support. It also shows the superiority of Mu`adh (May Allah be pleased with him) and the Prophet's love for him.



1423. Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "When anyone of you has done his Tashahhud during Salat

(prayer), he should seek refuge in Allah against four things and say: "Allahumma inni a`udhu bika min `adhabi jahannam, wa min `adhabil-qabr, wa min fitnatil-mahya

wal-mamat, wa min sharri fitnatil-masihid-dajjal (O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the torment of Hell, from the torment of the grave, from the trials of life and death,

and from the mischief of Al-Masih Ad-Dajjal (Antichrist).''
[Muslim].

Commentary: "Trials of life'' means ordeals which one has to face in life and which can harm his Faith and body. "The trials of death'' means the troubles which one has

to face before death. "Masih'' means Mumsuh-ul-`Ain, one who is squint. Ad-Dajjal (deceiver, impostor) refers to that man with a squint who will appear before the Day

of Judgement. This is why he is called Al-Masih Ad-Dajjal. He will make claim of godhood and in order to test the Faith of people, Allah will get some supernatural works

done from him. The pious ones would, however, recognize him and will save themselves from his trap. This will be a great trial indeed and one must seek refuge with

Allah from it.



1424. `Ali (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: When the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was in Salat (prayer), he used to supplicate towards the end of prayer after

Tashahhud and before the concluding salutations: "Allahum-maghfir li ma qaddamtu wa ma akh-khartu, wa ma asrartu, wa ma a`lantu, wa ma asraftu, wa ma Anta

a`lamu bihi minni. Antal-Muqqadimu, wa Antal-Mu'akh-khiru. La ilaha illa Anta (O Allah! Forgive my former and latter sins, which I have done secretly and those which

I have done openly, and that I have wronged others, and those defaults of mine about which You have better knowledge than I have. You Alone can send whomever

You will to Jannah, and You Alone can send whomever You will to Hell-fire. None has the right to be worshipped but You.''
[Muslim].



1425. `Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported: The Prophet (PBUH) used to recite frequently in his bowing and prostration: "Subhanak-Allahumma, Rabbana

wa bihamdika. Allahum-maghfir li (O Allah! You are free from imperfection and I begin with praising You. Forgive my sins).''
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].



1426. `Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to recite in his bowing and prostration: "Subbuhun Quddusun,

Rabbul-mala'ikati war-ruh [You are the Most Glorious. The Most Holy. You the Rubb of the angels and of Jibril
[Muslim].

Commentary: "Subbuh'' and "Quddus'' are two attributive Names of Allah which denote His Perfect Purity and Uniqueness. "Ar-Ruh'' means Jibril (Gabriel). Although

he, too, comes in the category of angels but his special mention is made here to emphasize his majesty and honour. In short, the recitation of the prayers mentioned in this

Hadith is in keeping with the practice of the Prophet (PBUH).



1427. Ibn `Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Glorify your Lord in Ruku` (bowing posture) and exert yourself in

supplication in prostration. Thus your supplications are liable to be accepted.''
[Muslim].



1428. Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "A slave becomes nearest to his Rubb when he is in prostration.

So increase supplications while prostrating.''
[Muslim].

Commentary: Both the Ahadith mentioned above, evidently show that there is greater possibility of acceptance of an invocation which is made in prostration. Therefore,

one must do it in the voulntary Salat.



1429. Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to say in his prostration: Allahum-maghfir li dhanbi kullahu:

diqqahu wa jillahu, wa `awwalahu wa akhirahu, wa alaniyatahu wa sirrahu (O Allah! Forgive all my sins, the small and the great, first and the last, the open and the

secret).''
[Muslim].

Commentary: Although the Prophet (PBUH) was innocent and free of sins, he used to pray for the forgiveness of his shortcomings out of his gratitude to Allah's Might

and Majesty. Thus, this Hadith has a great lesson for us. In spite of being innocent, he was always fearful of the Wrath of Allah, while we, despite being embodiments of

sins, are fearless of Allah.



1430. `Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported: One night I missed the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) from his bed. I searched for him. When I found him he was

in bowing or prostrating posture and was reciting: Subhanaka wa bi hamdika. La ilaha illa Anta (You are free from imperfection and I begin praising You. There is no true

god except You).''

Another narration is: My hand fell over his feet while he was in prostration with his feet erect. He was supplicating: "Allahumma inni a`udhu biridaka min sakhatika, wa

bi-mu`afatika min `uqubatika, wa a`udhu bika minka, la uhsi thana'an `alaika, Anta kama athnaita `ala Nafsika (O Allah! I seek protection against Your Wrath in Your

Pleasure. I seek protection in Your Pardon against Your chastisement, I am not capable of enumerating praise of You. You are as You have lauded Yourself).''



1431. Sa`d bin Abu Waqqas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: We were with the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) when he asked, "Is anyone of you unable to earn

a thousand good deeds?'' One of those present asked: "How can one earn thousand good deeds in a day?'' He (PBUH) replied, "By saying: Subhan Allah a hundred

times, then one thousand good deeds will be recorded for him or one thousand sins will be blotted out from his record.''
[Muslim].

Commentary: One thousand good deeds in return for saying the word "Subhan-Allah'' is a minimum reward under the promise that says i.e., ten-fold reward would be

given for each good deed. The words "Au yuhattu'' is open to disagreement among the religious scholars. Some of them have mentioned it with "Au'' which means one

gets one thousand good deeds or a thousand sins are forgiven; while others have mentioned this Hadith with the word "Wa yuhattu'', that is, one is given a thousand

virtues and a similar number of sins are pardoned.



1432. Abu Dharr (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Every morning charity is due from every joint bone of the body of

every one of you. Every utterance of Allah's Glorification (i.e., Subhan-Allah) is an act of charity, and every utterance of praise of Him (i.e., Al-hamdu lillah) is an act of

charity, and every utterance of profession of Faith (i.e., La ilaha illallah) is an act of charity, and every utterance of His Greatness (i.e., Allahu Akbar) is an act of charity;

and enjoining good is an act of charity and forbidding what is disreputable is an act of charity; and two Rak`ah prayer which one offers in the forenoon (Ad-Duha) will

suffice for all this.''
[Muslim].

Commentary: This Hadith has already been mentioned. See Hadith No. 118. It brings into prominence the distinction of the two Rak`ah of Ad-Duha as it is a means to

express one's gratitude to Allah for 360 joints in one's body. Similarly, the Praise and Glorification of Allah, the declaration of His Oneness, enjoining good and forbidding

vices are all Sadaqah of man's body.



1433. Juwairiyah bint Al-Harith (May Allah be pleased with her) reported, the Mother of the Believers: The Prophet (PBUH) came out from my apartment in the

morning as I was busy in performing the dawn prayer. He came back in the forenoon and found me sitting there. The Prophet (PBUH) said, "Are you still in the same

position as I left you.'' I replied in the affirmative. Thereupon the Prophet said, "I recited four words three times after I had left you. If these are to be weighed against all

you have recited since morning, these will be heavier. These are: Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi, `adada khalqihi, wa rida nafsihi, wa zinatah `arshihi, wa midada kalimatihi

[Allah is free from imperfection and I begin with His praise, as many times as the number of His creatures, in accordance with His Good Pleasure, equal to the weight of

His Throne and equal to the ink that may be used in recording the words (for His Praise)].''
[Muslim].

Commentary: The recitation of the words quoted in this Hadith is highly meritorious and rewarding because they are full of Praise and Glorification of Allah.



1434. Abu Musa Al-Ash`ari (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (PBUH) said, "The similitude of one who remembers his Rubb and one who does not

remember Him, is like that of the living and the dead.''
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Commentary: Lack of remembrance of Allah is akin to death. When a person dies, he is unable to do anything. Similarly, a person who does not remember Allah goes so

far from Him that he cannot do anything which can benefit him.



1435. Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Allah the Exalted says: `I am as my slave expects me to be, and I

am with him when he remembers Me. If he remembers Me inwardly, I will remember him inwardly, and if he remembers Me in an assembly, I will remember him in a

better assembly (i.e., in the assembly of angels).''
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Commentary: "I am as my slave expects me to be'' means that one should have the conviction that He accepts repentance, grants pardon, relieves people of their

tensions and emancipates them from their troubles. Along with this conviction one should do good deeds which please Allah and avoid such deeds which have been

prohibited by Him. With this conduct, one should hope for the best from Allah. This approach is similar to that of a cultivator who ploughs his land, sows the seed, waters

it, takes every possible care of it and then cherishes hope for a good crop. It can also be linked to the endeavours of a person who intends to become a scholar, or a

physician or an engineer. The first and foremost requirement to pursue his ambition is to study the books through which he can gain the required knowledge. For every

work one intends to do, one has to first make a foundation and then acquire the means essential for it. It is only then that one can hope to achieve one's aim.

Similar is the case of associating good hopes with Allah. Unless a person does not furnish the foundation of Faith and good deeds for it, it will be unwise to associate good

hopes with Allah. A slave who rather than serving his master runs away or annoys him and still hopes that his master being so kind will not take him to task for his

excesses would be called stupid by the people. The same is true of Allah, who is certainly the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful and Forgiving. But for whom is He

so? The answer is for His faithful and obedient slaves and not for those who are followers of Satan. For Satan and his followers, Allah's Decision is that: "I will fill Hell

with you (Iblis) and those of them (mankind) that follow you, together.'' (38:85).



1436. Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "The Mufarridun have gone ahead.'' He was asked, "Who are the

Mufarridun?'' He (PBUH) replied, "Those men and women who frequently celebrate the remembrance of Allah.''
[Muslim].

Commentary: This Hadith highlights the following two points: First, the eminence of plentiful remembrance of Allah. People who have this quality will be ahead of others

in reward on the Day of Judgement. Second, people who remember Allah and are obedient to Him, be they men or women, will be rewarded equally. In the matter of

reward no distinction will be made on the basis of their gender.



1437. Jabir (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) saying, "The best way to celebrate the remembrance of Allah is to say:

La ilaha illallah (there is no true god except Allah).''
[At-Tirmidhi].

Commentary: Since the Shahadah is the basis of Islam, its repetition in abundance has the greatest eminence. Some religious scholars regard only La ilaha illallah as

eminent, while others hold that the second part of it (Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah) is also included in it. Thus, in their opinion both these parts of the Shahadah

should be recited together.



1438. `Abdullah bin Busr (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: One of the Companions said, "O Messenger of Allah. There are many injunctions of Islam for me. So

tell me something to which I may hold fast.'' He said, "Keep your tongue wet with the remembrance of Allah.''
[At-Tirmidhi].

Commentary: Shara'i` is the plural of Shari`ah Shari`ah is in the sense of Mashru`ah, that is the Divine injunctions. These Divine injunctions are of various kinds, i.e.,

some of them are obligatory, some desirable and some voluntary. The obligatory ones are compulsory and their compliance is indispensable. What is termed as

Mustahabbat (desirables) are also highly important for gaining the Pleasure of Allah. Similarly, voluntary acts are a means of getting close to Allah. Ordinary people are

sometimes puzzled by the abundance of the latter and want to adhere to the first two, that is obligations and what comes in the category of desirables. A desire to this

effect is mentioned in this Hadith. The Prophet (PBUH) answered the query in this matter by saying to the inquirer, "Keep your tongue wet with the remembrance of

Allah.'' Keeping the tongue wet with the remembrance of Allah here means its abundant recitation. In other words, one should make the remembrance of Allah a

permanent feature. If one is not able to do many voulntary good works, which some people find difficult, the remembrance of Allah will make up the deficiency in that

regard.



1439. Jabir (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (PBUH) said, "For him who says: `Subhan-Allahi wa bi hamdihi (Allah is free from imperfection, and

I begin with praising Him, and to Him),' a palm-tree will be planted in Jannah.''
[At-Tirmidhi].

Commentary: Jannah is so vast that we cannot even imagine its vastness. The planting of trees in return for the Praise and Glorification of Allah is, therefore, neither

something difficult nor surprising. So, there should not be any hesitation in accepting it as a fact. Some people take it is as a metaphor for a plentiful reward.



1440. Ibn Mas`ud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "I met Ibrahim (PBUH) on the Night of Ascension (Al-Asra), and he

said to me: `O Muhammad, convey my greetings to your Ummah, and tell them that Jannah has a vast plain of pure soil and sweet water. It is a plain levelled land. The

plants grow there by uttering: Subhan-Allah, Al-hamdu lillah, La ilaha illallah and Allahu Akbar (Allah is free from imperfection; praise be to Allah; there is no true god

except Allah; and Allah is Greatest).''
[At-Tirmidhi].

Commentary: Qi`an is the plural of Qa` which means plain levelled land that does not have any tree. Trees grow on the plain land of Jannah in return for remembrance

and Glorification of Allah. The more one remembers Allah, the greater is the number of trees which grow on the piece of land that will be awarded to him.



1441. Abud-Darda (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Shall I not inform you of the best of your actions which are the

purest to your Rubb, which exalt you to the high ranks, which are more efficacious than spending gold and silver (in charity), and better for you than you should encounter

your enemies whom you will smite their necks and they will smite your necks?'' They said, "Certainly.'' He (PBUH) said, "Remembrance of Allah the Exalted.''
[At-Tirmidhi].

Commentary: This Hadith also tells us about the eminence of remembrance of Allah, as the basis of every good deed is remembrance of Allah and expression of one's

devotion and obedience to Him. Without these two, even the greatest virtue is useless and is of no value. Thus, we must always bear it in mind that remembrance of Allah

is superior to everything else.



1442. Sa`d bin Abu Waqqas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and I went to see a woman. She had date-stones or pebbles in

front of her, and she was counting and reciting Tasbih. [`Subhan-Allah' (Allah is free from imperfection)]. He said, "Shall I not inform you of what is easier or better than

this for you?'' You should say: `Subhan-Allahi `adada ma khalaqa fis-sama', wa subhan-Allahi `adada ma khalaqa fil-ardi, wa subhan-Allahi `adada ma baina dhalika, wa

subhan-Allahi `adada ma Huwa Khaliqun, wallahu Akbaru mithla dhalika, wal-hamdu lillahi mithla dhalika, wa la ilaha illallahu mithla dhalika, wa la hawla wa la quwwata

illa billahi mithla dhalika (Subhan-Allah, equal to the number of what He created in the heaven; and Subhan-Allah, equal to the number of His creatures in the earth; and

Subhan-Allah, equal to the number in between them; and Subhan-Allah equal to the number of those He will create).' Then say: `Allahu Akbar' (Allah is Greatest) in the

same way. Then say: `Al-hamdu lillah' (praise be to Allah) in the same way. Then say: `La ilaha illallah' (there is no true god except Allah) in the same way. Then say:

`La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah' (there is no change of a condition nor power except by Allah) in the same manner.''
[At-Tirmidhi].

Commentary: Sheikh Al-Albani has accepted this Hadith as Hasan because of the defect in its authority. He has stated that the original narration of it is without any

reference to gravels and stones (of fruits) and that is "Sahih'' and has been mentioned by Imam Muslim in his Sahih with reference to Jawairiyah (May Allah be pleased

with her). (See Riyad-us-Saliheen, edited by Sheikh Al-Albani).



1443. Abu Musa (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said to me, "Shall I not guide you to a treasure from the treasures of

Jannah?'' I said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah!'' Thereupon he (PBUH) said, "(Recite) `La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah' (There is no change of a condition nor power

except by Allah).''
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Commentary: In this Hadith the invocation "La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah'' has been regarded a treasure of Jannah or one of the most precious stores of Jannah.

The reason for its high eminence seems to be that through it, one makes a confession of his utter weakness and helplessness and attributes all power and authority to

Allah, and this is very much liked by Allah. This statement is an outright admission that man has no power and if he can prevent himself from any mischief or do any good

deed, it is only by the Will of Allah and His Permission.



Light on the Tongue But Heavy on the Scales Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "There are two

statements that are light for the tongue to remember, heavy in the Scales and are dear to the Merciful:
`Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi, Subhan-Allahil-Azim
Glory be to Allah and His is the praise, (and) Allah, the Greatest is free from imperfection)'.''[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].Riyad-ul-Saliheen Commentary: This Hadith

affirms that man's actions carry weight. On the Day of Judgement, his actions will be cast into the Balance. At that time Allah will endow these actions with weight, or

according to some scholars, those records which register man's actions will be weighed. This is quite possible for the reason that Almighty Allah is Capable of weighing

things without even their physical form. This discussion apart, when actions will be cast into the Balance, the formula mentioned in the Hadith, the utterance of which is

very easy, will prove weighty. Every Muslim should make it a practice to repeat them frequently.
Juwairiyah bint Al-Harith (May Allah be pleased with her) reported, the Mother of the Believers: The Prophet (PBUH) came out from my apartment in the morning as I

was busy in performing the dawn prayer. He came back in the forenoon and found me sitting there. The Prophet (PBUH) said, "Are you still in the same position as I left

you.'' I replied in the affirmative. Thereupon the Prophet said, "I recited four words three times after I had left you. If these are to be weighed against all you have recited

since morning, these will be heavier. These are: Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi, `adada khalqihi, wa rida nafsihi, wa zinatah `arshihi, wa midada kalimatihi [Allah is free from

imperfection and I begin with His praise, as many times as the number of His creatures, in accordance with His Good Pleasure, equal to the weight of His Throne and

equal to the ink that may be used in recording the words (for His Praise)].''[Sahih Muslim]. Commentary: The recitation of the words quoted in this Hadith is highly

meritorious and rewarding because they are full of Praise and Glorification of Allah. Expression that is most loved by AllahAbu Dharr (May Allah be pleased with him)

reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said to me, "Shall I tell you the expression that is most loved by Allah?'' It is
`Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi' (Allah is free from imperfection and His is the praise)'.''
[Sahih Muslim]. Obliterating Sins of the extent of the foam of the oceanAbu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH)

said,"And he who utters: `Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi (Allah is free from imperfection and His is the praise)' one hundred times a day, his sins will be obliterated even if

they are equal to the extent of the foam of the ocean.''[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]. Commentary: Here sins mean minor sins and those which do not relate to the rights of

people.A Palm-tree will be planted in JannahJabir (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (PBUH) said,"For him who says: `Subhan-Allahi wa bi hamdihi

(Allah is free from imperfection, and I begin with praising Him, and to Him),' a palm-tree will be planted in Jannah.''[At-Tirmidhi].Commentary:Jannah is so vast that we

cannot even imagine its vastness. The planting of trees in return for the Praise and Glorification of Allah is, therefore, neither something difficult nor surprising. So, there

should not be any hesitation in accepting it as a fact. Some people take it is as a metaphor for a plentiful reward.Meanings of "Al-`Adheem" [Based on: The Qur'an,

Tafsir Ibn Kathir and "Tauheed of the Prophets and Messengers"(tapes) by Ali al-Timimi]Al-`Adheem. This name has two meanings to it. The first is that all the

meanings of perfection and greatness belong to Allaah subhaanahu wa ta`aalaa and none else. His knowledge is perfect and all encompassing, his power is perfect and all

encompassing, nothing weakens Him and His wisdom is perfect. The second meaning is that nobody should be therefore glorified or worshipped except for Allaah. And

that any praise you give to the creation is because Allaah has given that quality to the object praised. So praise is again really due to Allaah. Understanding this makes a

person subdued and makes him realize his need to worship the Creator of the universe and all that it contains.
